About the space

Discover this elegant, design-led retreat nestled beside peaceful Lake Esmond. The home, furnished by Designer Nicola Cerini offers a calm setting with a piano, fully equipped kitchen and dedicated workspace, while leafy outlooks create a serene backdrop for every moment of your stay. Year-round comfort, a private patio, lakeside access and on-site parking support a comfortable stay. Nearby highlights—including Sovereign Hill, Ballarat Wildlife Park and the city’s vibrant café culture and dining scene—are all within easy reach.

The Space

A sense of serenity unfolds the moment you enter, where design-driven interiors and carefully curated artwork meet the tranquil Lake Esmond setting. Inside, the living area blends botanical wallpaper, layered rugs and considered furnishings into an inviting space for quiet relaxation beside the treetop outlook, while a beautifully presented piano enhances the ambience with gentle melody.

The open-plan dining and kitchen zone continues the home’s styled aesthetic. A modern, fully equipped kitchen supports effortless meal preparation, and the dining table for six offers a comfortable setting for shared meals. Step onto the patio where outdoor dining, a timber swing and lush plantings create a peaceful corner for afternoon tea or relaxed conversation. A concealed rear gate connects directly to the Lake Esmond walking path, where visiting birdlife and the soft call of bronzewing pigeons enrich the natural surrounds.

Upstairs, each bedroom reflects the owner’s artistic soul, blending distinctive patterns, curated artwork and soft natural outlooks to create calm, design-led retreats. The main bedroom features a queen bed, a walk-in robe and a private ensuite, with an adjacent study offering a quiet space for work or reading. The second bedroom provides another queen bed framed by a leafy vista, while the third includes a king single with a trundle, surrounded by botanical touches and treetop views. A central bathroom with a bath and separate toilet supports easy routines for families and groups.

Comfort is assured year-round with central heating controlled from the panel beside the laundry door, a split-system air conditioner upstairs and pedestal fans to circulate cool air in the bedrooms. Electric blankets on both queen beds and the king single provide added warmth in cooler months.

A single garage and two on-site parking spaces are available—one in front of the garage and one on the high side of the driveway—while additional vehicles should use Clayton Street, as neighbouring driveways are privately owned. Please avoid parking in front of neighbours’ garages. The home also has internal stairs, which may affect guests with mobility concerns.

This home has been lovingly styled by designer Nicola Cerini, whose creative vision is expressed through the artwork, textiles and thoughtful details found throughout.
